Reflexology

What does reflexology help with?
Reflexology is generally relaxing and may help alleviate stress. The theory behind reflexology is that areas of the foot correspond to organs and systems of the body. Pressure applied to the foot is believed to bring relaxation and healing to the corresponding area of the body.

What are the benefits of reflexology in pregnancy?
Reflexology is often used to soothe the aches and pains in your back and joints that are taking a beating from your growing belly. And some preliminary studies indicate that it can reduce lower-back and pelvic pain as well as stress.

Reflexology

60 minutes – £40.00

Reflexology, is a combination of relaxing massage, and unique thumb pressure, working on the 10 vertical zones, throughout the treatment, the reflexologist, works on the Chinese belief of positive energy flow.

Clients have reported
> Deeply relaxing
> Calms the central nervous system
> The body fights off a cold quicker
> Sinus issues improve
> Recovery time improved after operations
> Improves digestion
> Eases arthritic pain
> Relieves nervous tension.

British scientists have found that nerves connect to the skin and internal organs.

They also discovered the body’s entire nervous system tends to adjust to outside factors, including touch.

The added benefit of Reflexology is that it assists the body’s own healing system, enabling the body to dispose of uric and lactic acid, which builds up in the blood capillaries.

Homeostasis is achieved by Reflexology and other therapies.

A course of five treatments is the recommended amount to start with, then once a month to maintain the benefits.
